Okay, now you’re right in our wheelhouse. For nearly seven decades, if our company has been famous for one thing, it’s connectors. At PPC, we build our own connectors – one million daily – in America’s largest connector factory, in Syracuse, NY. We’ve connected over 100 million homes. If you watch Cable TV, Fiber Optic TV, or Satellite TV, it’s extremely likely that your home is one of them.
F-Type connectors are the undisputed heavyweight champion of electronic component connectors. Cable TV, Satellite TV, Fiber Optic TV, and most of the wired High Speed Internet – an F-connector has to connect them all at some point. PPC holds more patents in F-connector technology than any other company in the world. Now, you can install with the same connectors mandated by the world’s leading Satellite and Cable TV providers.
The twist-locking BNC connector is a marvel of engineering and signal integrity. Unlike RCA connectors, BNC connectors are more easily designed to maintain the critical 75-Ohm impedance of video. There’s also no guesswork as to whether they’re truly engaged with the port. BNC connectors have long occupied the high end of consumer electronics. But since they’ve historically been used for analog signals, their application is now primarily for legacy gear.
Cut open a PPC RCA connector, and its internal construction looks identical to that of our F-connector. Why? First, we designed these RCA connectors, like our F-connectors, to be universal – to terminate securely on virtually any brand of coaxial cable. For the purest signal, the RCA connectors must also conform to the same tight impedance standard as F-type. For best performance, install RCA connectors from the company that patented the universal coaxial connector in the first place: PPC.
